Bus crash fraudsters get six months

Three men have been given six-month suspended jail sentences after they staged a bus crash to con insurers out of thousands of pounds.
Driver Lugmahn Danial, 28, hit the back of his friend Imran Hussain's car with a double decker bus in a "crash for cash" scam in their home borough of Harrow, north west London.
He drove past passengers waiting at bus stop for the 182 service to Brent Cross and picked up six other men, who were part of the ambitious con.
After the bus ploughed into Hussain's Seat Toledo, in which third defendant Mohamad Tabibi, 26, was a passenger, the group planned to fraudulently claim for injuries such as whiplash and inflated referral fees from their insurance firms.
Before they could follow through with the scheme someone tipped off detectives that the men were friends, which was confirmed by mobile phone records.
The Metropolitan Police said Danial, of Bessborough Road, 29-year-old Hussain, of Nibthwaite Road, and Tabibi, of Rayners Lane, were sentenced at Harrow Crown Court after admitting fraud at a previous hearing.
