Claims regulation - Anonymous Reporting Hotline
A new Claims Management Anonymous Reporting Hotline has been launched for businesses, consumers, individuals and organisations to report details of alleged malpractice, fraudulent activity, rule breaches or poor service. The Hotline is confidential and anonymous and feeds directly into the MoJ’s regulation department.
At the recent Claims Management conference, Kevin Rousell, Head of Claims Management Regulation at the MoJ called for claims professionals to bring suspicious practice to the department’s attention, to ensure those found guilty of malpractice are stopped. He said: “I can promise the bad guys on both sides of the equation that those who aren’t compliant are sorted out.”
The confidential Hotline number is 0333 200 0110, although callers can still use the main number to the Monitoring and Compliance Unit to complain or report malpractice if feedback is required as the new hotline does not provide advice or give feedback to callers.
